Splitstream hi-flow waterpump cooler impeller kit - for the 2014/2015 Yamaha YZ250F.

For the 2014/2015 YZ250F, Yamaha introduced a new lightweight plastic waterpump impeller design that is proving to be problematic because of the waterpump shaft snapping in half... Riders are reporting failure at an alarming rate at around the 5 hour point and there has been at least one failure on a stock bike as early as 1.5 hours of race use . This is concerning as you won’t know that it has failed until it is too late - and serious engine damage may have occurred from overheating. Splitstream has developed a waterpump shaft kit, which is made from heat treated billet steel with a bronze surface treatment to prevent corrosion and improve wear resistance.

You will get:

• CNC machined 1-piece steel waterpump shaft
• CNC machined oversized alloy impeller
• blue anodized spacer to go with the new impeller
• longer bolts and longer dowel pins
• OEM waterpump gasket (you will also re-use your stock gasket)
